About Us
Perfect Circle Chapter falls
with the FMCA Northeast Area, and has members from the Atlantic Province of
Canada, and northern New England. The Chapter was founded in June, 1987 by a
group of 42 couples who attended a rally, which was organized after a lot of
'spade work' by a committee of six couples. These couples were all from
New Brunswick, and most are still active in the chapter. The chapter has
a membership of about 200 coaches, and organizes typically about six rallies
and caravans per year, which are held at various locations within New
Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
The name resulted after a
group of 7 couples attended an FMCA rally in New York in 1985, and on the way
home stopped at a shopping centre when no campground could be found open.
They 'circled their wagons' (motorhomes) into a perfect circle, with doors
facing the centre, and proceeded to have a social get-together within the
circle. The following evening a similar circle was formed. During the
ensuing leg of the journey, they decided to try and form a chapter, and
selected the name 'Perfect Circle' from these little capers. The
chapter continues to emphasize good wholesome fun, fellowship, and helping
each other.
